Manhunt sparked after family-owned business Cosmos Food Store robbed at knife point in Como

A police manhunt is under way in Perth’s southern suburbs after a terrifying armed hold up at a family-owned business.

A man, who covered his face with a balaclava, used a knife to rob Como’s Cosmos Food Store about 7.10pm on Wednesday.

The man escaped with an unknown amount of cash, stolen from the business on the corner of Monash Avenue and Murray Street.

WA Police’s K-9 unit has been deployed to hunt down the suspect.

No one was injured in the robbery.
